...the White Sox went on a tear in 2010. Odds are it won't happen again in 2013, but it's nice to think about.

I recall that very night the White Sox completely DESTROYED whoever they were playing. And Brent Lillibridge hit a homer (a grand slam?) to the deepest part of center field.

I think they were playing the Yankees. That might be completely wrong, though. They won 25 of 30 starting that night.

I really don't want that to happen. This team needs a bad season to convince them that change is needed.

If they won 25 of their next 30 it would probably put them in first place and I could live without any changes but we all know it ain't going to happen.

If they won 25 of 30, I'd quit my job, sell our house, and become a peddler.

They played the Pirates. As for this comparison, I can't see any kind of rally this year.

I remember that run started the day of the Hawks parade against the Cubs. If the Sox win Friday and start a winning streak, then I'll think about it.

That hot streak in 2010 was something else. I've never seen a Sox team get so scorching hot and we may never see anything like that again. In true White Sox fashion though, it wasn't quite enough to seize the division title. This year's Sox team has too many self inflicted gunshot wounds and a far weaker offense than the 2010 squad to go on any kind of run close to that. However, it is baseball and crazy stuff happens from time to time. I'm sure fans of the 2005 Astros weren't thinking NL Pennant when they were 15 games under .500.
