Minor-league deal per Heyman. My, how he's fallen.

He had a decent time in the minors (2011) for Louisville when he was playing and wasn't completely horrible when called up to the Reds. He quickly retired in 2012 surrounding an injury, so I was wondering if he would ever give it one more shot. I don't blame the Cubs for making this move, certainly low risk. If he can get back to mediocre for them, he could be a serviceable 4th or 5th starter.

Guy was effective due to the combination of a funky delivery and being effectively wild. Once the league realized this they waited on him, made him prove he can throw a strike then killed it.

He'll finally get a chance to pitch for the organization that drafted him.

My thoughts exactly. It's amazing how the Cubs manage the players they want after their performance has fallen off.

Kinda reminds me of a certain MLB team on the south side.

I'm not mad at him still getting paid for being terrible. In a way, that's respect too.

I thought he should have tried the Rick Ankiel approach.
