Default Brian Anderson update
BA had been pitching OK for the Yankees' AA Trenton Thunder after extended spring training, yielding seven hits and one earned run over his first 7 2/3 innings, striking out nine and walking one. Unfortunately for him, though, he was placed on the disabled list a week ago with 'general arm soreness'.

This is not a good sign for a 29 year old converted pitcher with so few innings under his belt.

I know he is a rather polarizing figure around here, but I had a chance to meet Brian back in 06 and he was one of the nicest professional athletes I've ever met. I wish him nothing but the best and it'd be awesome to see him in the majors again.

Like the White Sox, Red Sox, and Royals, the Yankees obviously failed to realize how great a talent Brian Anderson is. It's all Ozzie's fault.

If he had just started Game 2 of the 2006 season- everything would have been different.

Sorry to see that, truly. I liked the kid's heart when he played. What he did away from the field was ridiculous; but that was his choice.

The best part about this comment is that it actually was at about 2am at a bar in Lakeview that I met him. Nice guy though.
