Default Number 1 draft pick...
Who will end up with the number 1 pick for the 2011 draft ?

Will it be Houston, Baltimore or the White Sox ?

The other two teams have a much lower level of talent than we do. Ours has not played any better than theirs, but we at least have a higher talent level.

I'll guess Baltimore. Markakis, Wieters, Jones ,Matusz and maybe a few others are salvageable, but they have Atkins, Izturis, Patterson and a ton of other crap around there. Also they have the toughest schedule in baseball.

I don't see the Sox as bad as Houston or Baltimore. I think we end up picking in the 6 to 10 range.

I'm more interested in who will BE the no. 1 pick. Is Bryce Harper pretty much the consensus? Would the Sox take him with the no. 1?

Bryce Harper is in the 2010 draft. He will be without question taken 1st by the Nationals on June 7th.

As of now the likely #1 pick in the 2011 draft is Rice 3B Anthony Rendon.
