And sorry for the lack of teal, I'm colorblind...

Of course, there was a Wave for about 10 minutes in the 7th inning... But, eh, I was over in 155 basically right behind the LF foul pole and even THAT wasn't so bad, at least by me, seemed like people were up for multitasking. Really, one of the better games I have ever been to. Glad they rewarded us with the win.
Some people react badly whenever anything is said about lack of bums on seats and I get that. I think baseball games should affordable to every kid in Chicago. But it can be easy to underestimate what a good crowd can do for players on the field and what an empty stadium can do also. I can accept being beaten. When you're not the best team on the field being beaten carries no shame. I don't think our guys are quitters and I don't think they deserve some of the treatment they get here. We may go out. We may play badly again at the worst time. OR we may start getting breaks and the ball might bounce our way, Detroit might lose again... and again, and we might find ourselves in a close game that can get us into the playoffs. That's when a crowd pulling for you can be the difference.

I woke up for the top of the ninth last night at 4:00 am and I thought Addison Reed looked very calm and very collected. The season's trials, tribulations, and even failures just might prove to be very valuable. The crowd was a big help to him, I'm sure.
