Game three was a Friday afternoon at Fenway. I remember sneaking out of work to watch the game at a nearby bar and being surprised that it was standing room only.
That innning was the moment I realized it was our year.
I thought it was in Game 2 when the ball went through Graffinino's legs and Iguchi deposited one in the LF seats the next batter to give the Sox the lead and the win. That doesn't happen, and/or El Duque was the El Duque he was most of the season (and the coaching staff had to talk KW into even having him on the postseason roster) that one inning, the wrong Sox might have won that series, or there might have been different heroes pulling out the series. That team took advantage of every break they got. And that is why they won.
