Let me take this moment of excitement to tell you my favorite baseball-related moment that didn't have to do with the Sox 2005 World Series.

While I was studying for the bar exam in 2003, I was sitting in the living room with a book open and my phone rings. I see it's my sister's number. She was in Cleveland for a Sox game and stayed at the hotel the Sox were at. I answer, and a male voice says, "Is this Chris?" I said yes, and he said, "This is Frank Thomas." I was like a giddy Belieber. We talked for about a minute and he said, "OK, back to your sister. Good luck on the bar exam."

I was not good luck. I looked up Thomas' stats the next day. He went 0-for-5 with 2 strikeouts.
