I could see Mark Trumbo being a realistic trade target for the Sox. The Angels have made it known that they desperately need young pitching and the Sox have a lot of that. It's also no secret that the Sox need a big bat (or four) to insert into their anemic lineup. It would seem like a fit. The question would be just how much of our young pitching would LAA require? Would the Sox consider trading Quintana now that his value has never been higher? Would that be enough by itself to pry loose a hitter of Trumbo's caliber?
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -George Carlin
