Great point but it is tough to make future decisions based on September performance. That is where your internal people really need to have an eye for talent.
Funny but some Boston media and fans have been really negative on the Peavy trade mainly because they did not want to give up Iglesias. Others have said that even though Iglesias has preformed so well at the ML level, his minor league performance is a sign of where he will eventually level off to. Obviously that is 100 point drop in average.
It will become a real hot topic if Boston and Detroit meet this post season.
