Interesting concept, but I feel like the addition of the corporate sponsors was forcing it a bit. There's precedent for soccer jerseys without them (national team jerseys), and ads on baseball teams' jerseys are (should be) like peanut butter on a taco--not there. baseball has a long history of in-stadium advertisement, but it will be the sport that holds out longest against ads on jerseys, and I'm glad for that. 9 times out of 10, they completely ruin the visual aesthetic of a jersey by not matching the team's colors at all (or in some other way).
