I think we're on the cusp of contending. Losing AJ's career year production hurts, but I think Keppinger solidifying the #2 hole makes the top of this lineup much more productive.

A fast start may drive ticket sales, allowing the Sox to be buyers at the deadline, perhaps for an impact bat.

A slow start may put the Sox in position to be sellers; their veteran relievers in particular may bring prospects in return.
