Great recap. I'm a little older, and 1990 was my team. That team had more heart than just about any Sox team I've ever seen. I enjoyed 1993, but it was on the heels of two very underachieving seasons in '91 and '92, so '93 felt more like "well, it's about time". Nobody knows the fate of the '94 team. Cleveland was loaded and was nipping at the Sox heels. But many feel '94 was the best shot at a title.
"I'm sorry that you don't like our manager," Williams says he told him.

"I'm sorry that you don't like our 3-4-5 hitters. Or our closer.

"I'm sorry that you don't like our third baseman and our shortstop. Or our left fielder and our right fielder.

"I'm sorry people feel this way about our club. But I also want you to know something about that:

"We don't care."
