During the countdown show, Mayo mentioned that Sale hadn't used his changeup as a reliever which he said was his best secondary pitch. I'd be interested in seeing this changeup if it really is as good as hyped. |
He threw 13 changeups last year with the Sox. It's widely considered his best secondary offering. SSS had a great analysis on his stuff, strengths, weaknesses, and what we could expect from him if/when he's in the starting role:
