August 10,1975
vs. Baltimore Orioles
at White Sox Park

Five days after announcing the fan vote on whether they wanted to keep the Sox or see the A's move to town, Rick Talley announced the preliminary totals, and it wasn't even close.

"White Sox fans would prefer to see the current team remain, rather than see the world champion Oakland A's come to town." Tally wrote. The "Keep the White Sox" choice led the "Bring the A's to Town"...

July 24,1975
vs. New York Yankees
at White Sox Park

Lost in all the off-the-field turmoil involving Harry Caray's criticisms and John Allyn's financial ledger was the fact that there was still a schedule of games to be played.

The steadily improving White Sox took the field this Thursday to match up against the Yankees in a Thursday afternoon doubleheader in front of a modest crowd of 13,910.

Posted 02-17-2018 at 09:14 PM by TommyJohn (No!!Mary!!!)

At the end of the season he admitted that he was upset that the Sox had traded for Ron Santo and wanted out. He then revealed that he had played "horsefeathers" until June hoping to force a trade. The admission did not endear him to Sox fans.

July 20,1975
vs. Milwaukee Brewers
at White Sox Park

It was Jersey Day at White Sox Park, and 24,719 turned out on a beautiful, sunny Sunday to see the scheduled Sox-Brewers doubleheader and to collect a replica Sox jersey with the Aamco Transmissions label on the back. I was among the people streaming in, along with my father, brother, sister and cousin. I clutched my souvenir jersey given to me by a lady who smiled as she handed it out (Number 51-Terry Forster)and walked...
