In honor of actor Andy Garcia and his (unintentionally) hilarious reaction to Sofia (Mary Corleone) Coppola's death scene in "The Godfather, Part III."

Game Notes: The "Saints vs. Sinners" series moved to Comiskey Park for Game 3, where the Sox opened up scoring right away when 1st baseman Chick Gandil blasted a 3-run homer in the 1st off Yankee starter and loser Waite Hoyt. The Sox poured it on, snagging 2 in the 4th when Swede Risberg tripled in Gandil. Risberg had contributed to the scoring in the 2nd, when he singled, stole 2nd, advanced to 3rd on a groundout, then stole home on Kerr's failed suicide squeeze.
The Yankees made it exciting when they rang up 2 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th. In the 7th frame they had two on with 1 out and Koenig and Ruth due up. Koenig grounded out to bring up the Sultan. The crowd roared with every pitch until Ruth grounded out to end the threat.
The Yanks weren't done, pulling within 2 in the 8th. Then with two out in the 9th, Earle Combs singled to bring up Koenig, with Ruth on deck. 40,000 plus hearts pounded as Koenig squared off against Kerr, who induced the Yankee shortstop to fly out to Risberg to end it and give the White Sox a 2-1 series advantage.
