Super Sox homers bomb 69 Birds

White Sox 5, Orioles 2

A sellout crowd crammed into Old Comiskey today to see the Super Sox take on the legendary 1969 Baltimore Orioles of Frank and Brooks, Boog, Belanger and Palmer. Home runs, two by Carlos May, accounted for all the Sox runs in the 5-2 win. Gary Peters went the distance for the win, Jim Palmer gave up all 5 runs to take the loss for the birds. Super Sox regular Don Buford played left field for the 1969 Orioles, while Jackie Hayes played second for the Sox. Buford will be back with the Sox for the next game.
