I remember seeing Cap Anson club three home runs out of League Park. Back then, the Cubs were known as the Dodo Birds.

That's not even Wrigley. It's West Side Park. It was another six years before the Cubs moved north.

It's still hard to believe that they've been playing there for that long and have never won the whole thing during that period.

Especially considering that for most of those 100 years the NL consisted of about 7 or 8 teams. The odds used to be much higher.

That first one I looked at -- against Pittsburg -- was dated 1907. Wow, the [four-letter word] haven't won the Series since Pittsburgh added the H to the name.
