Miller is talking about the AL RBI leaders. He talks about how Crede is leading with 15. He then brought up how he must be all the way back from the back surgery. Morgan just left him hangin'. It was clear, to me at least, that Miller was looking for a response from Morgan.

What game?

I think people are too sensitive to the things people like Joe Morgan say sometimes. Now people are triggering the language filter because of thing he didn't say?

Never really heard Morgan say anything negative about crede or the Sox on previous telecasts. Actually, I've heard Morgan praise us several times.

He was also very vocal in his support of Nellie Fox during all that time he was snubbed for the Hall of Fame.

Joe Morgan actually says some pretty intelligent things if you ever sit down and listen to him. There seems to be an underlying hatred for the guy because he's supposedly egomaniacal about his career, but I enjoy listening to him. He's insightful and protective of the game.

Boston Gammons had some nice things to say about the Sox before the game. It's hard to understand him, but I think he said if Danks and Floyd can continue to give the Sox good, quality starts, then the Sox will be one of the best teams in the league.

It was nice whatever he said, but I can understand Ozzie better than him.

If you want arrogance, pontification and tautology, Morgan's your guy.

His comment, "the Tigers only look bad because they're playing bad" really moved me.

Anyway, can we put a stop to this inferiority complex around here? It makes us all look bad. So what if Joe Crede doesn't get slobbered over during a broadcast for a completely unrelated game? If the Sox want to get national pub, maybe they should make the playoffs more than once at a time, or even win more than one WS per geological epoch.

This is great use of a new thread! If this wasn't pointed out, I never would have known that Morgan was speechless when he heard about Crede's RBIs.

In other news, did you know that Joe Buck has no emotion when he calls a game? **** him! He never gets excited when the Sox do well.

Radio:

That's because Nellie tutored Joe on the art of playing second base when both were with the Houston Colt 45's in the early 60's.

To this day Joe has always been very appreciative of the time Nellie took to teach him about playing the position.

Here's what Morgan should have said to appease the White Sox fans:

http://espn.go.com/i/columnists/morgan_joe_m.jpg
"That's right Jon, he is all the way BACK from back surgery and better than ever! Not only is he spectacular with the leather, he is bound to break all grand slam records as well as RBIs by season's end. In my estimation, he should get a record contract at 32 million per year for at least 10 years. And since the White Sox have no budget to worry about, I'm sure they easily can afford him and build at least 5 more championship plazas around the Cell by the time Crede retires. And Jon, did you know that the area around the Cell is great these days? If I didn't have a job with ESPN, I'd become a full season ticker holder for the Chicago White Sox! Did I mention how delicious the churros are at The Cell?"

Joe Morgan doesn't watch baseball games other than the ones he happens to be broadcasting.

What a worthless thread, the inferiority complex around here is really embarrassing sometimes.

I've thought that Jon Miller, Joe Morgan, and Peter Gammons are above the East Coast nonsense that permeates the rest of ESPN's baseball family.

I don't like Joe Morgan at all. I think he's a egomanic and a terrible baseball analyst. With that said, just because he didn't hype up Joe Crede's league leading RBI total during a Red Sox-Yankees game... I don't get it. Seriously? **** Joe Morgan because of that? Come on.

The fact that ESPN hasn't dedicated an hour special on the Joe Crede comeback proves to me a conspiracy against anything and everything White Sox is currently taking place.

It does get old after a while, and it appears as though someone at ESPN is finally proof-reading Joe's answers...but have at it...
