Same here - today and Saturday. I really don't have time to go wait around at the park tonight for a game that won't be played. I wish they'd just call it early - they do that sometimes.

I agree, if they call it, call it before everybody gets there. I know the same storm hit KC last night and they got their game in, but from what I've been hearing it's gonna be a doozy later.

I hope that they get it in tonite as well. I guess we will see what happens, there has been some breaks between rain showers so far this morning, and we don't play the twins again until May. I hate it when games get reschduled.

Looks pretty iffy tonight (and all weekend): http://www.weather.com/outlook/driving/interstate/tenday/60616?from=hrly_topnav_driving

Wouldn't overly surprise me if they cancel tonight early, because you know attendance would be miserable and they could probably do better later in the season.

Gloomy and rainy here in North Aurora. Looking out the south window of my apartment toward Aurora, I see nothing but gloom.

Remember that game last year that they called early, and by game time it was sunny and beautiful?

It was the first Core of the Core event, I believe May 26th or so against the Devil Rays. Made no sense then and still none today. Yeah it rained, but me and my friend come back from the Patio Party and see drones of people leaving the stadium and we're thinking "What the hell happened" because the rain had completely stopped and didn't rain again the rest of the day.

I ended up having to sell that ticket because the makeup was during the school-year, during the day.

The makeup game on Mon 6/9 will NOT be a half-price Monday, but there are codes available, same as today's would have been.

As for the mentioning of "exchanging" tickets, I think that's for people who can't make the rescheduled game. I know that all tickets for today, season tickets and single-game, will be valid and there is no need for exchange.

Premium Seating ticket holders can exchange their tickets for the best-available regular tickets to another game on a 3:1 basis if they can't make the rescheduled game. I don't know the exchange policy for other ticket holders.

Yeah, that Tampa game was mishandled. I spent about 20 minutes at the ballpark that night. I arrived at the Cell at about 5:45. By 6:05, I was on my way back to the train.

I think a decision like today's is better for the fans. Don't make me travel downtown, just to find out that there isn't going to be any baseball. If they want to call it, just call it early. Save me my time.

As an assistant sports editor at a suburban daily, I like it when they call it early too. When I get to work this evening, I'll look for Tailgunner Joe's "The game was postponed" story, slap in the paper and be done with it. I don't have to wait around for hours, wondering whether there will be baseball.

The day in June will probably be beautiful weather. All the ticket-holders from tonight will have a good time, and everything will be fine.

Skilling's innane use of graphs and models is annoying and self-promoting. He needs to go down. He will soon perish under his web of lies.
Don't tell that to my mom. She loves Skilling. She loved that WGN started doing those 5:55 weather reports.

Why Vazquez and then Buehrle?

Because Oakland's lineup is predominantly left-handed, and they want to stack Buehrle and Danks up against them.

Not me. I'm going to see the new Indiana Jones movie. Most of you will have to wait until May.

Hmmm... I don't know about that. Why wouldn't we skip Contreras or Floyd so both Burls and Vazquez can pitch against Detroit, a division foe?

I'm starting to wonder if it is ever going to stop raining in Buffalo Grove. My backyard is currently a mini pond that my dog is dying to swim in.

I'm glad to hear Danks will be pitching Tuesday, my next game. He's going to rebound against the A's.

Floyd's only two wins in a Sox uniform have come against Detroit, so I think that's a good enough reason to let him pitch against the Tigers.

I can't think of any good reason in this world to skip Contreras.

Whoa, I have to disagree with you here. I find 30 Rock can be funnier than The Office at times.

Considering the cold and general crappiness out, it was probably a good call for both teams.

But definitely NOT Chicago Tough.

Not Minnesota tough either. I looked at their plans for their new ballpark and it looks like it will have no lid on it.

The A's are hitting .204 so far this season against lefties.

The Stanley Cup playoffs are on right now! I've got the Canadians/Bruins game on. The Hockey Night in Canada crew's doing the game! :D:

They've called games prematurely in the past couple years. Bossard needs to stick to keeping the field nice, and not trying to be Tom Skilling.
Don't get mad at Roger for that...he isn't trying to be the weather man, but he is the closest thing U.S. Cellular Field has to a weather man...he is in very close communication with the national weather service and the clubhouse...it is certainly not only his decision.
Remember he is THE BEST groundskeeper in all of MLB...

Tampa has been better against lefties. And Oswaldo said he didn't want MB and JD back to back. Just let Coop handle the staff and take all pitching decisions away from our manager.

I guess I just don't see why this pitching move is such a horrible albatross.

I don't either, but why the need to tinker? I'd rather not have Danks and Buehrle pitching back to back.

I think too much was made of that during the spring.

The main thing is to avoid having Danks and Floyd pitch back to back. That's asking for a couple tough days for your bullpen.
