The Cubs led 2-0 in the eighth inning. The Pirates got a run that inning and then tied it up on a homer in the ninth. Ramirez finally broke the tie in the 14th with a two-run shot. Then the Pirates tie it up AGAIN on a two-run homer by Adam LaRoche. The game is now going into the 15th.

I turned it off after Ramirez's homer. Then I go back and found a commercial. Only to check online to see they are going more after LaRoche's HR. Holy crap, talk about a taxed bullpen by the end of the night.

The fact that the Cubs have a hard time beating the Pittsburgh Pirates speaks volumes. Win or lose tonight's game, this is yet another sign that the Cubs are so overrated.

There is also going to be one tired bullpen. It's never good when you need at least 12 innings to beat one team. Lou will probably rest most of the regulars tomorrow.

That's a total of 27 innings; they played three games for the price of two.
