Just happened to be checking out Swish's site and it looks as though he wrote another entry recently. Talks about the first week of the season a little bit, Swish's Wishes foundation, and about the whole dying the facial hair blonde thing. Check it out:

aryzner, I thought I was the only Fulham fan in these parts!

As of right now, the Swisher pickup could be one of KW's best. The guy is awesome.

Could you imagine if the cub picked this guy up?

I like the lines "back home in chicago on the cheering side of town" and "team filled with fire and the passion"

Wow, I had heard Swisher was a standup guy from A's fans but after reading that I am even more impressed. This is the type of guy the Sox need to set the right tone in the clubhouse, on the field as well as off the field. Seems like he is the real deal.

He's gotta get rid of that picture with him in the A's uniform, though. Just doesn't look right. :D:

Swish is the man! His generosity off the field is something that some players can take a page from. Keep up the good work Nick!

Right on! Sometimes a team can win on chemistry alone, and it seems this team has oodles of chemistry. Swisher was a great pick-up.

Reading that made me want to donate $10 for every home run Swish hits.

So i'm going to try.

How awesome is it that he donates $300 to his charity for every hr he hits... plus Zito matches him... I urge all you Sox fans to fill out a form and donate at least $1 /hr he hits.

This will make him realize how much we appreciate what he does outside of baseball.

I've tried to find the form on his website, but can't seem to find it. Does anyone have a link to the form so I can start my donations?

Actually he says you can download the form for the Home Run Challenge. I can't find it on the Donate page though. Anybody know where it is?

EDIT. You beat me to it.

Me too bryPt. I've already talked to aryzner about this, but I'm living in Fulham right now and I'm about three blocks from the Craven Cottage. Its been a tough year especially considering that my tube stop is attached to Stamford Bridge and there is no way we're avoiding relegation.

As for Swisher, this guy better really like that nice new house he bought because I imagine he's going to be in Chicago for a long time.

Does Swish read this board or did you contact him? The picture on the journal page has been changed to him in a Sox uniform now!

Good thing Zito plays in the NL, every Swisher HR costs Zito 300 bucks. Don't think he would pitch Swisher too easy.

So...how many HRs' do you think Swisher will hit??
