First of all, I'm really pleased with the 4-2 start.

Second, this is not a thread about CF or who should be playing there.

Third, Quentin has been great in left and Uribe has been great at second. Part of me says "don't mess with success."

Still, I'm forced to wonder if ultimately it would strengthen the defense to:

Move Uribe to SS and Cabrera to 2B;

Move Quentin to RF and Dye to LF.

Discuss...

Just leave things be. They're working.

Cabrera is a good defensive shortstop and while he may not have Uribe's arm he's more than capable. How much has he even played 2B anyways?

Besides, I'm really liking the way Uribe is turning the DP.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Cabera is the leader in the infield. Uribe is better off not having to think as much. All he has to do is listen and learn from Cabera.

Cabrera is a gold-glover at SS, there's not much more you can want out of the most important position on the infield. Uribe looks real good at 2B. Maybe having 3 guys biting at his heels has actually motivated the guy? I think the team might be better off if Dye and Quentin swapped, but Dye has played his whole career in RF and he's a veteran, that alone would make me think that Ozzie's not going to move him, especially now that the season's started.
