Basically, all 30 teams were told to show legitimate claims to their regions, or risk losing them. The new regions could go into affect next year.

All I can say is... About friggin time.... why can't they implement this after the AS game this year? Why wait til '09?

I'd imagine there are advertising/TV contracts in place through the season.
