I assume this is new this year... TBS broadcasting regular season games besides the Braves? I'm all for it since it doesn't appear to cause any blackout issues with MLB Extra Innings like Fox's Saturday broadcasts do. Also, the more games I can watch in HD, the better. Chip Carey on the mic pretty much ruins it though.

ooh that was a nasty collision :o:

It still kills me that the Red Sox waived Eckstein in 2000 for NOTHING

they have been looking for a SS ever since

They waived Eckstein to protect this piece of garbage

I hope the opposite happens when they play Detroit in their next series.

Finish off the sweep today and then have the Tigers get swept again to start the season 0-9.....works for me:smile:

I'd laugh my ass off if they start the season 0-11 like they did in 2003. 138 million dollar team gets off to the same start as one of the worst teams in baseball history, now there's a story.

Hmm you're right they did start 0-9, we gave them their first win too. But they were did get off to a 1-17 start.

Eckstein sucks, and you guys had NOMAR playing full seasons at SS in 2002 and 2003.

What are you talking about? :?:

The success of his teams (other than a couple games in the WS) has little to nothing to do with that little dude.

He's the most overrated player in baseball, if not the most overrated of the last 10+ years.

Great to see Frank's slam, We are so lucky to have had him. I still hear of Sox fans who don't like him. Last week, there was this thing with Joba Chamberlain of the Yankees who did this little fist pump after striking Frank out, some lame media people made a stink about it, Frank had no problem with it. Anyways, point of the story, many stories that were written over it called Frank one of the classiest guys in the game. The whole steroids thing with a black cloud on everyone else has made him a shining star. Also, Chamberlain did it because he said Frank was his idol growing up and he was so pumped against him. While listening to WFAN sports radio in NY, I heard of so many callers who also grew up as huge fans of Frank, who saw him constantly on WGN, some who lived elsewhere where they didn't have a team nearby. Just seemed cool to hear.

Meaningless either way since they certainly made amends for it by coming within one victory of going to the World Series that year.
