I lived many years in Chicago.........I went to baseball games in the AL park because those fans reminded me of Fenway fans

I never, ever found hard core fans at 1060 W Addison.

Only once has being a Red Sox, White Sox fan been a conflict since 1967

we know how that worked out :D: :whiner:

I LOVED the old Comiskey Park and the nutcakes that went to the games............I never felt that way about Wrigley ever

Well documented here at the time and voice calls with White Sox friends....

I was at peace with it...........

I had posted a year before on WSI that I really wanted my southside Sox friends to feel what I was feeling after Boston won

I can't find the link but it is there

why is this in the Club House?:?:

Because it has White Sox in the subject line, for starters.

Then why did my thread "White Sox crapped on my lawn" thread get moved to the Roadhouse?

Fenway absolutely said that and was congratulatory as well after the Series victory in '05.

I've hated the Red Sox since before it was cool, but I always cringe when WSI posters criticize Fenway or ask him what he's doing here.

The answer to "what is Fenway doing at WSI?" is "being one of our most interesting and informative posters". Why anybody would want him to stop posting here is a mystery to me. I have learned more things from Fenway than from the next half-dozen most interesting posters combined, be it about television, broadcasting, or the history of the game. The day he stops posting at WSI will be a sad day.

He just has to make sure he doesn't continue to do his semianually copywright violation thread

*not trying to armchair mod, just stating what his usual ban is

Yeah, and you still owe me one! :gulp:

Fens, didn't you have something to do with the idea of the "Dedicated to" thread that led to the book? I seem to remember your saying at the time that there was a thread like that after the Wrong Sox won. Or was I hallucinating? Again.

Yes I did suggest that :D:

The idea spawned from here

That thread is now in Cooperstown as well ( seriously )

and was also made into a book.
