I now understand why the Reds wouldn't give him up.

This guy is for real. Now the only factor is whether Dusty will ruin his career/arm or not.

Whether?

You meant "when," right?

he put up 39 points for me (sadly, on my bench) today. Took him in the 20th round!

Is it pronounced Cue (as in pool cue) toe

Coo-ay-toe is how they were pronouncing it on the D'backs feed.

So... I'm sort of pitching-rich on my fantasy team, and I just picked up Cueto and dropped Bonderman. Good move? Bad?

Me too - that last spring start scared me into not starting him. Too bad - he's probably going to put up better numbers than a few two-start pitchers

Don't see how that's a bad move. Bonderman isn't very good.

Bonderman is proven to suck at least. 5+ ERA last season though high, isn't too far from his yearly avg's. Bonderman might be the most overhyped AL arm.

He'd be #3 on our team.

Possibly, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a league-average pitcher, if not slightly below.

Yes, in spanish it is pronounced like soco said, but since we speak English, you will hear it pronounced as "Kway-toe". Hell of a game for the kid.

He followed up his debut with another very good outing...

6.1 IP, 8 Ks, 5H 0 BB and 2 ER.... 96 pitches thrown

Against a very good Brewers team too. A little run support and he's be 2-0. This kid is amazing.

I picked him up in three leagues I am in...including the WSI Dynasty league! It was a choice between Waiver pick ups of Alexi Ramirez or Cueto. I think I made the right choice.

Him AND Homer Bailey?

If only Dusty would have let Jay Bruce play this year instead of...Corey PATTERSON?...

We could be looking at a Reds team that is very very good in the coming years

AND Edinson Volquez. They have the makings of a very good rotation in the coming years.

The best part about Patterson is that Dusty leads him off.

Sounds like another team Dusty was managing, circa 2003.

Yeah, the absolutely wrong manager for a team with a bunch of potentially good, young players. I have no clue why they hired him.

By default, not because he's an amazing #3. He would battle Contreras. I feel fairly confident that by this time '09 or '10, I'd rather have Danks than Bonderman if Jeremy keeps his terrible control and ERA in tact.
