Didn't Anderson hit one after the rain delay against Cleveland two years ago?

I don't think so... I remember Thome hitting one, but not Anderson. I think he went 2 for 4 with a single and double... because I remember walking out of that game thinking it was a good start. Oops :(:

I think Anderson scored on Thome's dinger.

Looked into it. No HR. Not sure what I was remembering.

Some I knew hit opening day homers, some I'd expect, but Kenny Williams and Darren Jackson are surprises.

I was at the game where Williams hit his. It was against the Angels off Mike Witt at Comiskey Park in 1988 -- an absolute blast into the upper tank at ye olde park. That was an interesting day for the current GM. He was making his debut at third base, a position he was switched to in the offseason. Needless to say, the experiment did not go well.

I believe DJ hit another one in the second game of the season. He was really making a case for 162, until he only hit two the rest of the season (1999).

I predict a monster opening day from Pablo Ozuna, which may or may not include a home run.

Same, some idiot on my fantasy league picked Brian up, only to see him suck the rest of the year. I remember thinking that Anderson was going to be a hell of a player.

After allowing a double to Swisher and a BB to Cabrera, Sabathia gets pulled because of stomach cramps due to overeating the night before.
