Unfortunately this inning is lasting too long, it could hurt his pitching ability.

now that it's 9-0, it's time for shammie to hit his zinger and do the hot dog around the bases!
I ran into someone by happenstance today whose a twinkie fan. we started rippin' into the cubbies about what a messed up organization they were and how their fans were complete drunken idiots. it's great to know we're not alone.

And the gladiator hero Sammy Sosa made the packed crowd of 38,000 go home giddy with delight with his mammoth, wind-aided 346-foot shot down the right field line with two outs in the 9th and no one on base, making the final score 16-1.

Damn! Patterson just broke up the perfect game. That really sucks! I've never seen or listened to a perfect game as it happened. :(

ha, i still remember getting no-hit and winning 4-0. that was hilarious. that 3-run "OMG, i lost it in the sun" error was one of the funniest things i've ever seen.
i don't recall ever listening or seeing a perfect game. that would be pretty cool--as long as it wasn't the sox who got blanked.
well, it's 5 o'clock, so damn it, i'm going home. it's the weekend! hurray....just too bad that the sox don't play til 9 tonight. (past my bed time, jk.)
outta here...

Wasn't it Andy Hawkins who was the hard luck loser in that game?

Correct Winning
He pitched a no-hitter against the White Sox on July 1, 1990 but walked five and lost 4-0. In his next start, Hawkins tossed eleven shutout innings and lost again. Hawkins finished the season 5-12
