I'm glad he actually had some good/positive things to say about his old ballclub. Unlike Jonny Guyblow over in LA.....

Anyone remember when he got punched in Yankee Stadium?

Hurdle said they were trying to grind out a roster spot. Hilarious.

Thanks for the article. I've been paying close attention to this race for the fifth spot. Sullivan, I like ya, but I really wanna see Pods in Denver! :praying:

I've noticed the "grinding" coming up in so many articles and on the news. Cracks me up.

I get the feeling Pods understands the situation Kenny was in.

That picture doesn't reflect what happened. If you see the tape, the guy was obviously going for the ball. Put your arm in the position and see if you think that's a natural way to throw a punch - it's not.

I know I usually try to catch things with a clenched fist.

He doesn't have a clenched fist when contact is first made. His hand rolls up as Pods moves into him. Did you put your arm in that position? Think you could deliver an effective punch from there? If he was REALLY trying to land a blow, he would have KO'd Pods. Podsednik didn't even complain about it and the guy wasn't removed from the park. I think that pretty much shows that nobody, including Pods, thought there was any ill intent.

It's a far reach for that guy. Do the same motion right now, and you'll see that position is not unnatural at all. If you're at work, just say you're doing pilates.

Please tell me that you dont actually think that guy punched Scott!

If I'm not mistaken, Pods himself said that the guy barely touched him and that he did NOT throw a punch.

Same way that ball in Oakland did not hit the top of his head?

I can't believe people are actually discussing this AGAIN!

The guy punching him is totally Brian Anderson wearing a disguise.

Pods is a class act. I wish him continued success with the Rockies.

In addition to the Game 2 homerun off Lidge, my favorite Pods memory was of him driving Michael Barrett to the ground (after Barrett punched AJ).

He's a text book case of how a lead off man sparks a team in 2005

And our GM has forgot how important that was

When Pods went bad-so did we and there was no replacement and still isnt

The season hasn't even started yet.
