I sent an e-mail to Barry Rozner at the Daily Herald regarding Sam-Me's pathetic display Tuesday night at Wrigley. He was kind enough to put it in his column today.

Ah, so it was someone at WSI as I had suspected

...this Rozner guy is okay with me. Anyone who is willing to help tear into Sosa every once and a while deserves a pat on the back. He's one of the few people I've seen who's willing to "tell it like it is." I just wish the rest of baseball would quit talking about Bonds and Sosa, and actually devote their time to covering winning TEAMS, like the Sox.

It's ironic that I mention that, because I always seem to hear complaints about how there are no really good teams in the Major Leagues. Well, maybe if the media stopped covering individual players so much and looked at the bigger picture, then we would hear more about good teams.

I have to laugh when Cubs fans talk about how the Sox gave them Sammy. I suppose that's what happened, but I don't lose any sleep over it. Why? Because nothing Sosa has done has made the Cubs better. Nothing. They barely made the playoffs in 1998 after beating the Giants- funny thing, it was Joe Carter who made the last out in that one, if I remember correctly.

Cubs fans talk about how Thomas hasn't won anything, but they should worry about themselves before they attack our guys, because Thomas has played on more winning ballclubs than Sammy. Also, he has stolen more bases than Sosa this season. I think that's hilarious.

Sorry for rambling. I am tired. :)
