Isn't it great that a writer exists in the Chicago area that covers our team fairly and wants to see our guys do well. Too bad, he's in the Northwest Suburbs, but he's better than every columnist in both Chicgao papers, with Rick Telander as a possible exception. Plus, he names Jose as a key player, which I agree with, since I think he's the X-factor in our starting rotation.

Yes, great article by Barry Rosner. Truly a class act.

However, for every Rosner there is a total hack like Mike Imrem. Sounds like Imrem is still green with envy over our 2005 World Championship, so he has to reiterate that we were lucky in 2005 and then hit us with the inane Cubs fans argument about how the Cubs are more popular than the White Sox. I'd rather have World Series Championships than be popular. In fact, I wouldn't mind being like the Oakland Raiders in the 70's and early to mid 80's when many people hated them but they won 3 Super Bowls in 8 seasons.

I've always been a great fan of Rozner and I know I'm not alone.
I'd be very interested to know if either of the downtown papers have tried to lure him away from the Daily Herald.
I'm willing to bet so.
