I don't know what network this was on, but its from 1983 since the announcer says Kittle is 25. Ah, what could have been.

Some great old videos there, but sadly like every other cool Sox video I think it's only a matter of time before this gets pulled too.

The second and third link are both Part 2 of 3.

I guess you really liked that hat Hawk is wearing, that is why you repeated it.....

The announcer's voice sounds very familar. Could it be Art Norman from Channel 5?

I really liked that team/era! I remember Kitty and Luzinski trading roof shots. Too bad it cuts right when Richard Dotson starts talking about LaRussa and team chemistry.

Funny seeing the old Navy pajama uniforms again. I didn't know the Sox had minor league uniforms with the same design.

That hat was so big that I think Julio Cruz and his family were living inside of it.

Kittle with some great foreshadowing here. He talks about how he doesn't want to come up as a rookie and hit .212. Fortunately, in 1983, he hit .254.

He saved the crap batting averages for '84 and '86 when he hit .215 and .213, respectively.

I'm guessing that's spring trianing of '81 or '82 with the old uni's.

Well, there's a clip of him in the old Veeck uniform that says "Chicago" on it, so I figure that was probably in ST of '81 when we still wore that uniform. There's another clip of him though in Vancouver wearing a similiar pajama style uniform. I think though the home team might have "handed" down it's old uniform to it's AAA team as I have a photo of Harold Baines as a rookie in '77 wearing the red pin stripe uniform in the minor leagues.

I think that was Mike Squires, my friend.
