Sounds like an admission of suckyness to me.

Reminds me of 87 or so--"Anything can happen." (nothing did happen)

Can They??
This is not the White Sox official slogan. This is something that WGN came up with to promote their upcoming broadcasts for both the Sox and Cubs. They put something similar together for the Cubs albeit with a different tone than the Sox ones. The official slogan from the team this year is "Share the Passion. Show the Swagger."

The Sox should have just let the ad agency do their job. "Show the Swagger" doesn't work.

Don't sweat it folks, I'm guessing these catch phrases are aimed at your ten year old who is deciding whether to follow the White Sox or Cubs...

When I was 12, I was impressed with "Angry Young Men."

And I was at least twice in the 496,000 or so season attendance. When you're 12, you have to find someone to drive you to the ballpark, so you don't get to go to as many games as you'd like.

They were pretty cutting edge with "Grinder Rules"....everything the White Sox have done since then has been mediocre.

someone pointed out in years that end in 8, the sox have only once had a better record than the cubs, that was 1958, i dont know how far back that goes though.

They deserved to be let go after the "Back to the Grind" campaign.

Is 'Can They?' a slogan? Are you asking if they can show the swagger? Or if they can repeat 06 :\

Agreed. But doesn't it at least inspire a little hope? Maybe?

No wait, you're right. We're screwed.

How about:

"Hope for the Best!" that describes our realistic chances.
or
"Hope for .500." or

"Just Pray for a Winning Season."

One more:

"Ozzieball- It's All About The Manager."
