Tomoyo Matsuzaka gave birth to baby boy (6 pounds 10 ounces) early Saturday morning and this now clears the way for Daisuke to pitch in Japan in 10 days.

Theo is working on it

Seriously MLB is relieved this is out of the way as he was not going to Japan if the baby had not been born.

This trip is going to be nuts. Hey at least I get to see Alaska for 3 hours as the Boston and Oakland media will merge tn Anchorage then fly over. Oakland players go non stop but Boston will have to stop in Alaska for fuel as well.

From the site survey we have this will be like doing a telecast at the Hankiedome as Tokyo Dome is almost a clone of Minneapolis. The people at NHK network in Japan are really being wonderful hosts to try to keep this as normal for us as possible. They even told Remy they have a special outfit for Wally the beanbag to wear.

Then after all this we have the baseball Woodstock at the Coliseum in Los Angeles to deal with.....then Oakland and Toronto. Never been a road trip like this....
