John Lackey is expected to miss 3-4 weeks (http://fromthedugout.freedomblogging.com/2008/03/15/lackey-to-miss-start-of-season/) with a triceps strain.

With Kelvin Escobar likely out until mid-May, the Angels pitching depth will be tested early.

Good thing they traded for Garland.

If there's a team that can handle losses like this early on and recover, it's the Angels.

The Mariners have to be liking this news. With Bedard in the mix, they have to exploit this and get off to a good start if they want to win that division.

Who would of thought that Garland will be the team's second starter, if not the ace...

Time for Jered Weaver to step it up. And it's good for those Halos that they didn't trade Ervin Sanatana now...
