This kid looks really good. He was moving up the ladder pretty fast. Could he be a factor this or next year?

He looks to have a similar build to Broadway from what I saw of him on the TV.

Where will he start this year, Birmingham?

In 2006, Harrell was 7-2 with a 2.45 era with Winston-Salem. They then promoted him to Birmingham. There he started 3 games going 0-2 with a 10+ era. He missed all of 2007 with an arm injury. My guess is he'll start in AA. He won't turn 23 until June.

Next year he might have an outside shot as a #5 starter or middle reliever, but he has a long way to go before that is even considered.

With him putting up such good stats in '06, what was in his repertoire that made him so effective? He didn't look like a big kid, so I doubt he has a FB above 93-94. Does anyone know what pitches he throws, any plus pitches?

From what I remember Lucas was basically 4 seam, 2 seam, change, slider. His 2 seamer was effective in adv-A, but not in AA. No real plus pitch, although his change might be good someday if he can learn to control it. Not a real exciting prospect IMO.
