The Rangers are saying it's "minor," but Brandon McCarthy's elbow is acting up.

Thanks for Danks.

Never want to see a guy get hurt, and Brandon was a class act, as far as I remember during his time here, but I don't think anyone is surprised that a guy with his frame would wear down. Danks for McCarthy straight up would have been a good deal for us.

KW fleeced Texas.

He was so great in that Thursday game late in September '05, when he battled Johan Santana pitch for pitch, only to have Jacque Jones go deep to tie it late (and then have the bullpen lose it in extras).

That did suck, God did Jacque Jones kill us. The only homer that hurt more was that same season a month earlier with this man on the mound...

Looks like we'll have to wait another year before they put McCarthy in the HOF.

Where will they have the space next to Jeremy Reed, Chris Young, Brian Morse, Gio Gonzalez, and Fautino de los Santos?

Haven'tyou heard the news? They are building a new wing:

The Kenny Williams' Cast-offs Wing.

Certain WSI posters are advising them.

Nothing to see here. McCarthy is a proven workhorse.

Even if BMac misses significant time, Phil Rogers still thinks KW lost on the deal.

Unless Rogers looks at his own grossly complicated scientific formula in which he can prove the White Sox won the deal:

White Sox: +1 (Danks) - 1 (McCarthy) + 1 (Masset) = +1

Don't forget about Rasner. He may end up being nothing but it surely can't hurt to have another arm that may do something.

Sox gave up Paisano though as well so who knows...

LOL

But wait, didn't we get a third player, too? This could be a +2

Unfortunately, per Phil Rogers, the formula only includes major league players.

So that means that Phil has us at minus 2 for releasing Cintron and Gonzalez and getting no major leaguers in return?

We should at least get a +1 for the FA signing of Tomo Ohka....he played in the ML last year.
