I think the orioles signing Bukvich and Terrero gives them the worst in the AL east.

My initial response after reading this was, "Why?" All I'm going to say is that Tampa did pretty well for themselves. Everyone else, nothing special at all.

Toronto loaded up dude, Eckstein, Rolen great moves
I look at offseason as if you lose someone you must replace adequately.

Actually he had a double whammy, he was released, then died.

Are we going to assign numbers to these players? I.E. the Phil Rogers G.M. report card accounting system?

Orioles: F (if we're grading strictly on fielding a better Major League team than the previous year and not including long-term gain moves)
Red Sox: C (outgoing pretty much equals incoming)
Yankees: C (same thing as the Red Sox)
Blue Jays: B- (slightly better incoming than outgoing)
Devil Rays: C (lateral movement and wheel-spinning)

Au Contraire, the Phil Rogers patented assessment system would assign Baltimore a +2 for those pickups! That gives Baltimore a -1, whereas a team like Boston at -2 has obviously had a much much worse offseason.

Actually he had a double whammy, he was released, then died.

He could of said, "passed away". This has nothing to do with Kennedy, it's how he phrased it. "Died" sounds kind of harsh and uncaring.

For example...

Guy #1 "So, I hear your dad is in the hospital, what happened?"
Guy #2 "Died"

Does that seem like he ever gave a **** about his dad?

O's - F (but they needed to do this stuff since they had no chance of competing this year)
BoSox - A (Clement and Gagne = addition by subtraction. Hinske was useless last year, and Casey will be useful)
Yankees - B (no big additions but all the changes are minor upgrades)
Rays - C+ (they added some C-level talent at the cost of getting older; Aybar could be a good risk-reward guy)
Jays - C- (Glaus to Rolen is a defensive upgrade but a major power downgrade; the other additions are decent players)
