:roflmao:

This is a pretty damn good prank. The Phillies tell pitcher Kyle Kendrick he has been traded to Japan. Hilarity ensues.

Watch the video. (http://www.bugsandcranks.com/philadelphia-phillies/brett-myers-is-the-new-ashton-kootcher/)

That was extremely well done.

That's probably the funniest prank I've ever witnessed.

Just a classic. Great use of the press there as well - with the interview, he had to think it was real.

That's a joke from somewhere. I can't remember exactly though.

My buddy told me he almost fired his agent.

:roflmao:Awesome!

Side note: If that's how notifying a player of a trade really goes down, then that was pretty interesting to see. I was trying to imagine what it'd be like to be in that player's shoes, being notified that you've been moved and have to pack everything up and move within such a short amount of time.

Is a trade like that even allowed? And if not, how is a MLB player not aware of that? It was funny that they were able to trick him though.

Incredibly funny. Maybe next time they can tell a guy his mother died of cancer then get a good laugh when he starts to cry.

That was poor form for the manager and GM to be involved in that.

How was it bad form for a manager and GM to get in on the deal? I would hope his agent was on board w/ it as well. This is Jack Binion stuff - legendary. I appreciate how long the thing went on before someone finally cracked and told the kid what was up. Good for the Phillies.

Now if they can just shatter the dreams of the Mets like they did this poor Kendrick kid again in October...

How so? It keeps the clubhouse loose. I can see Ozzie doing a practical joke or two to keep the troops loose.

I loved how Myers was more concerned with the pitcher they were getting than how Kendrick was feeling. Too funny.
