Just taking a look at what some past and present spring training sites are doing

Plant City who built a stadium for the Reds in 1987 has turned it into a softball stadium

Sarasota is fighting to keep the Reds

Looks that way. Sarasota is desperate now as what teams remain in Florida appear to be happy where they are.
