Well, Ascensio was the guy who threw 16 straight balls in his MLB debut against the Sox, but he's pitched since then.

Ouch, Asencio gave up 4 runs in 1 inning against Boston to make his ERA 36.00 for the season.

According to the box score (http://www.sportingnews.com/baseball/scoreboard/20020421/boxscore/7.html) Ascencio didn't pitch today...

Didn't they play a double header today?

Go to Boston's 9th (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gameLog?gameId=220421207), and you'll get the un-box score version of Miguel Ascencio's day...
Not good.

That explains alot. Found something with his line.
Ascencio torched... (http://scores.sportsline.com/scoreboards/mlb/2002/0421/gamecenter/MLB_20020421_BOS@KC.htm)
I think he is a Rule V draft pick, meaning he is not really ready for the big league but KC has to keep him on the roster...
