There is a proposal to construct (http://cbs2chicago.com/local/wrigleyville.hotel.complex.2.636010.html) a nine story Hyatt Hotel on across Addison from Wrigley Field. Geez.

This could be a good idea in that it will help keep some severly impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel. Although, a part of me wishes that area would go back to the armpit it was 35 years ago....

The current infrastructure around Addison and Clark could not handle the influx of 148 new apartments alone much less a huge hotel along with it.

Alderman Tunney will have his hands full at that townhall meeting. The opposition will be overwhelmingly LOUD.

I've been to these goofy Wrigleyville, 44th ward townhall meetings --- my occupation forces into such fruitless endeavors --- where people cannot agree and nearly fight to their deaths over the simplest of proposals. This one should be a classic.

Wow. Traffic, traffic, traffic.

They would have to hire retired Navy SEALS to work hotel security on the day of ballgames. Imagine the trash that will wander in looking for drink.

Where are all these people that are going to rent park? Not everyone is going to pony up the two hundred a month for a spot.

I find it quite hilarious that somehow Woo-Woo made it into that community meeting. I saw a back-shot of his jersey on the news.

Parking! Woo! Traffic! Woo! Alcohol! Woo! Woo!

:D:

If true, I wonder how much the Cubs will charge the hotel for those inevitable rooftop bleachers?
