Outfielder was retired last year

BY TOM HAUDRICOURT

General Manager Doug Melvin has been saying all winter that the free-agent market for corner outfielders is bleak. That must be true, because Melvin brought one out of retirement Thursday. The Brewers signed Gabe Kapler, 32, an eight-year veteran who managed in Boston's farm system in 2007. Go to Story (http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=699133)

Kapler had the strangest injury I ever saw in the game when he ruptured his Achilles' tendon while trying to score on a home run. :?:

Damn Kenny! You let another one get away! Even retired players don't want to play for the White Sox!

I'm curious to see what that bod looks like now. One piece of advice for him:Get a looser uniform. You'll add 30 points to your BA.
