Edit: Can someone please change the for to from? Thanks.

The Cards must really think Edmonds is washed up.

Haha, it's cool I had a couple of drinks that I'm attributing to that mistake.

He has gotten VERY bad offensively and defensively. Good move to trade him now, not sure about the guy they picked up though, anyone know age/skill, etc.?

If Jim is expected to play CF in Petco it could get pretty ugly.

Especially with his stubbornness to play so shallow. That was fine when you had speed and played at Busch, but at Petco... oh boy.

That's kind of shocking. I wonder if that means Cameron won't be back with the Pads next year.

That seems to be the reality in San Diego.

I wonder if the Sox have any interest in bringing Cameron back. He played well last year and still has an excellent glove. If the Sox sign him, they would still need a leadoff man, probably in LF or 2B.

....and someone else to fill in for the first 25 games he'll miss this season.

Boy, what a bummer. As a Cards fan, Edmonds was so fun to watch. I'll never forget that absolute BOMB in Game 6 of the '04 NCLS... what an unreal moment. It's just so sad that his fall has come so quickly, so precipitously. Even sadder that it all started at Comiskey, when he suffered a concussion that likely caused many of his ills in 2006 and 07.

Sad as it is... bring on the Colby Rasmus Era! Just please don't be like the Brian Anderson Era or the Jerry Owens Era or the...

Its not a great move by any measure, but it might be better than Crisp. Now the market isn't going to be as competitive for him, he might come cheap. I read the Braves really want him though. If he cost more than 6 mil for 137 games... no way.

From Fukudome, Rowand or Cameron to Jim Edmonds? Ugh. Kevin Towers better be quietly working hard on that Jason Bay deal.
