Eckstein to Jays and Adam Everett to Twins.

I seriously wonder now if we could get the Rockies interested in Uribe for their 2B job.

It's a longshot though.

Pablo can play short. Not well. But he can play it.

Juan to the Nats.

Dan O'Dowd has indicated that "they're comfortable with in-house options". IMO I don't think they'll be looking to Uribe to fill that hole. I think Barmes might be starting the season but there are quite a few options.

Didn't Uribe come from the Rockies in the first place?

They probably wouldn't make that mistake again. They were the ones who first called him "uncoachable" which is a fair description.

TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms on a contract with free-agent shortstop David Eckstein.

A source tells The Canadian Press that the one-year deal is worth US$4.5 million. It will be finalized after Eckstein passes a physical.

The more I think about it, the more made I am about the Eckstein thing. Not that he's better than Cabrera. But we're better next year with Garland and Eckstein than we are with Cabrera and Floyd. Eckstein got 1 year, 4.5 million!
