But he was decent in Texas in the first half of last year. And their alternative was going to be Turnbow as their closer. In the NL, he might be ok again. Who knows.

I think he should be fine, he was lights out as Texas' closer, moved to the pressure cooker that is Boston in a set-up role which he is very unfamiliar with.

It wasn't pretty. Francona stuck with him and the fans supported him.

WEEI and the Herald were brutal on him however calling him Gagme.
I wish him well

He still ended up with a mid 3 ERA despite his struggles in Boston. It was his 1st year back from major injury. I wouldn't be surprised if his stamina just wasn't there for the second half.
I think this is a great gamble, given his track record and first half success. In the grand scheme of things, his numbers with Boston aren't too important. He has + and - regardless. Overall I'd take him if I were the Brew Crew.

So he will either be a key component to a playoff run or dealt July 31st for prospects. Good move for Milwaukee.

$10 mil...I'm glad BBJ is ours for cheap for much longer. I would consider giving him a huge deal, definitely not Gagne.

Wait for Bobby to become a free agent, he'll be asking for 12-15 mil per year by the way money is being spent of relievers this offseason

Fortunately, Jenks won't be a free agent until 2011.
