For the uneducated IMSA is what?

Well...

IMSA stands for:
Insurance Marketplace Standards Association
International Motor Sports Association
International Mathematics and Science Academy
Illinois Math and Science Academy

I'm associated with that last one. It's a state-sponsored residential high school in aurora for (among other things) math and science geeks. Actually, it's a lot more than that, but those are the cliff's notes.
