Just sort of putting this one out there after browsing throught the long list of free agents. Do you guys think that KW will even make a play to bring Iguchi back to the Southside? Why or why not.

I like Gooch, but I think the Sox like Richar.

I also don't like Iguchi in the lineup other than batting 2nd, and since that's Cabrera's spot, I just don't like the fit for Iguchi and the Sox anymore.

I like Gooch as well, and if he'd play for a slightly larger salary as '05 and '06 I'd be totally fine re-signing him, but Iguchi wants (and deserves) a significant raise.

Richar's pretty decent in his own right and is at league minimum.

My feelings exactly. I think COL or even the cubs may go after him...

I love Iguchi, but i don't think he'll be back on the southside anytime soon, we seem to be content on giving Richar a fair shot and truth be told, I don't have a problem with that.

Rumormill from the winter meetings has the Padres and Rockies being interested in Iguchi's services.

I think Danny Richar is still another full season away from being a real major league hitter. If we are "going for it" in '08, we need a veteran at 2nd.

It isn't 2005 anymore is it? Why would you want to bring back an aging player that has probably seen the peak of his MLB success?

Give me Danny and let him learn while on the job. With the Tigers landing MC and DW from Florida the Sox don't have a prayer to win the division in 2008 JMO.

It seems like the Sox soured on him for some reason, which is odd since all he did was go out there and do everything that was asked of him for two years.

Refresh my memory how did he do in 2007 with us? I am so sick of living in the past 2005 is over. Sox fans needs to put aside their performances in 2005, and come the realization of the value they bring to the Sox future.....

I think it's more that we're higher on Richar than we are sour on Iguchi.

I'd much rather our kids come up and play well than we sign free agent.

Of course, that doesn't typically happen for us...
