Yeah, no kidding. I hope he's wrong on the Konerko deal though.

You've already achieved legendary status in one day. Pace yourself. :redneck

From a pretty consistent trade naysayer such as myself, I hope he's right on the Konerko deal. That's a lot of talent for Konerko, even though we'd be short a real bat.

1/1 and counting - You're a legend already Rockabilly.

Otis is never right, and he's a legend...but he does always have a real good background story to make up for a lack of accuracy.

Per Rotoworld: WFAN radio in New York reports that "there's news floating around that the Mets are close on Erik Bedard."
The Bedard rumors have picked up steam since he reportedly told the Orioles that he's not interested in working out a long-term contract extension. There's some speculation that the Orioles could ask the Mets to take Miguel Tejada and his contract back in a Bedard trade, but it's unclear where Tejada would play in New York. It remains to be seen if the Mets have the pieces to pull off a trade for Bedard even after dealing Lastings Milledge.

Interesting - would be very happy to have Bedard out of the AL.

Bedard definitely makes the starting rotation of the "Sox Killer" list. He isn't at that "Sox Kryptonite" status of Johan Santana and CC Sabathia but he is definitely a pitcher that has given us fits.

He was nasty in 2006 on us (1-0, 1.80 ERA in 2 starts with 14 Ks, 3 BBs in 15 IP) and he had one good start and one average start against us last year (1-0, 4.26 ERA, 12 Ks in 12 IP).

I agree with your classification of him, and the last place I would want to see him is in the AL central - probably would go 3-1 or 4-1 against us.

Bedard's awesome, one of my favorite pitchers. I drafted him last season in my fantasy league... I looked like a genius.

Figures that BAL would trade from a weakness, ITIS.

Couple of places saying Toronto is in the hunt as well, dangling AJ Burnett.

Sox Killer is synonymous with "good pitcher" it seems sometimes...

Mediocre lefties give us fits and great ones can make us look stupid.

With crappy pitcher sometimes too; there's no middle of the road.

I would not mind him in the AL Central, if you know what I mean.
