Is anyone concerned that there is no activity coming from KW? My bigest concern is that he is overvaluing our farm system and players, and he's going to miss the boat on any trades, and im concerned that the Tori Hunter thing might just be out of reach.

I'm not worried at all. Besides, give it some time. It's just the beginning of this continuoum of pain, and quite frankly, I'd rather him not make sloppy, indecisive moves. Give it time, relax, and enjoy this 3 months of nothing before you give up on KW. As fans, we have no control ( or minimal, at that) of what Kenny does, so what's the point?

It looks like all the free agents are signed and everyone has made all their trades and all the rosters are set. The season starts in 4 1/2 months and Kenny missed the boat. Maybe next year.

I am very worried. Real estate prices are down. Mortgage market is tightening up. Oil is up. The stock market is a roller coaster.

Plenty to worry about. Good thing Kenny is the Sox' GM, one less thing to worry about.

The only thing that worries me is how many more of these chicken little threads I'm going to have to move to WTS before ST starts.

Very few free agents take offers right away. They like to shop around and talk to a few teams to see if they can squeeze out another year or add on a few million. They aren't going to snap up the first offer unless it's a great offer from the team they want. Even then, there is a lot of negotiating.

It's still only November, so I'm not worried at all. Now in March perhaps I might be worried, I don't have complete faith in Kenny but November is not the time to worry about baseball...in fact, in the grand scheme of things if I look back on this year and the biggest thing I had to worry about was baseball, it was a pretty good year.

Oh yes, absolutely. It is damn near Thanksgiving and we don't have everything figured out....I'm really concerned.

Is anyone concerned that there is no activity coming from KW?

No; I did not expect all this club's ills to be solved before December 2007.

Perhaps the inaction is the plan KW promised us that he'd reveal soon.

I am not worried that nothing's happened yet, but I am worried that KW stubbornly believes last year was a fluke, and that he won't make major changes.

Why should anyone be worried at this point? We're still a couple of weeks away from the Winter Meetings.

Depends on your definition of Major. Is a leadoff hitter and an OF major or do you want to see a massive overhaul?

I don't expect to see lots of changes by quantity, but will be shocked if the team doesn't upgrade an OF slot, the leadoff hitter and the bullpen.

But I don't see a lot happening beyond that.

Not worried here. GMs seem pretty quiet overall so far. It's not a big free agent class; winter mtgs. yet to come; etc. It's also been mentioned that MLB is bracing for Mitchell's Report. Whether by inside info. or just the gossip mill, they know this is going to be explosive. That's taking all the air out of the room right now...okay, so is the A-Rod Soap Opera.

personally, there havent been many white sox rumors lately (crede, hunter, rowand). that signals to me more than anything else that a deal of some sort is in the works and could be very close....

It's quiet... almost too quiet.

Which means Kenny will strike soon. :D: maybe on Wednesday.

I expect the big deals and signings to go down at the Winter Meetings, which I recall are something like the 1st week in December.

Patience, everyone.

****...now my biggest concern is that KW is going to do too much and that he isn't valuing our own players highly enough. http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=4081&stc=1&d=1142826449http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=4081&stc=1&d=1142826449http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=4081&stc=1&d=1142826449
